The movement is world wide.  We believe that God is asking the body to engage in prayer for life and He has given us a new strategy to get the Evangelicals (this would include but is not limited to the following denominations: Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, United, Anglican, Hutterite, Mennonite, Vineyard, Charismatic, etc.)  fired up to pray for life.   Below is a brief overview of the strategy as well as the information for the upcoming Breath of Life Global Day of Prayer...

---------------------------
Breath of Life is a worldwide prayer movement that is non-confrontational in nature and filled with God's love, mercy & compassion for all those involved in abortions including the medical staff and the unborn child's family.  Our goal is to pray for the closure of abortion clinics and for lives to be saved.  We will be launching Breath of Life later this summer/early fall in Canada and are hoping to launch in Mexico, USA & England later this year.

Approximate annual abortion rates:

Worldwide 45 million abortions per year- 25.6% or 1 in 4 pregnancies end in abortion
Canada 93,755 abortions per year- 19.9% or 1 in 5 pregnancies end in abortion
USA 1.06 million abortions per year- 19.5% or 1 in 5 pregnancies end in abortion
Mexico 1 million abortions per year- 28.6% or 1 in 4 pregnancies end in abortion
England & Wales combined 185,331 abortions per year- 20.8% or 1 in 5 pregnancies end in abortion

We believe that God desires to have a praying presence outside all abortion clinics worldwide, seven days a week, circling it in prayer just as He had Joshua circling the walls of Jericho in prayer until those walls fell down.

We are inviting churches to "adopt" one abortion clinic and its medical staff in prayer for one day each year until the abortion clinic closes.  We are looking for a minimum commitment of two people from individual churches, prayer groups, cell groups, etc. who are willing to pray for 24 hours one day per year.  Part of the 24 hour prayer day would be spent at home or at church and the other part praying outside the abortion clinic.  Breath of Life prayer teams are also invited to join together to pray outside of their provincial Legislative Assemblies across the nation every year on October 22- that's it!  The strategy is beautifully simple and light.

We thank you for prayerfully considering passing on the vision.  To join the Breath of Life movement today, please visit www.breathoflifemovement.com.

Breath of Life Global Day of Prayer
Date: October 22
Time: (Your local time) 8:30am-5:00pm
Location: Your local governing body (state/provincial building)

We invite you to join the in the Breath of Life Global Day of Prayer. We will be praying for our governing rulers and the current status on LIFE. We ask that you remember that Breath of Life is non-confrontational in nature and filled with God's love, mercy & compassion for all those involved in abortions including the medical staff, the unborn child's family and governing bodies.

All you need to do is show up at your local governing provincial or state building and pray for any duration of time between your local hours of 8:30am-5:00pm- that's it!

We ask that you "Come As You Are". This means for this day- Please Leave All Signs, Banners, Noise Makers, etc. at Home.

We ask that you remember that many of us that will be out there praying have personally suffered loss due to abortions or have been deeply affected by abortion. We are there to LOVE and HONOR both friend and foe, lost and found- just as JESUS did when He came to save the world He so loves!

Our goal is to pray for the closure of abortion clinics and for lives to be saved. Jesus said that we are to pray that His kingdom come, His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We believe this is the key to seeing the LIFE issue turn around.

REMEMBER LOVE CONQUERS & LOVE COVERS OVER A MULTITUDE OF SIN- Even abortion.

An excerpt from "The Powers that Be: Theology for a New Millennium" by Walter Wink.

"Intercessory prayer is spiritual defiance of what is in the way of what God has promised. Intercession visualizes an alternative future to the one apparently fated by the momentum of current forces.  Prayer infuses the air of a time yet to be into the suffocating atmosphere of the present. History belongs to the intercessors who believe the future into being. This is not simply a religious statement. It is also true of Communists or capitalists or anarchists. The future belongs to whoever can envision a new and desirable possibility, which faith then fixes upon as inevitable. This is the politics of hope. Hope envisages its future and then acts as if that future is now irresistible, thus helping to create the reality for which it longs. The future is not closed. There are fields of forces whose actions are somewhat predictable. But how they will interact is not. Even a small number of people, firmly committed to the new inevitablity on which they have fixed their imaginations, can decisively affect the shape the future takes.

These shapers of the future are the intercessors, who call out of the future the longed-for new present. In the New Testament, the name and texture and aura of that future is God's domination-free order, the reign of God.

No doubt our intercessions sometimes change us as we open ourselves to new possibilities we had not guessed. No doubt our prayers to God reflect back upon us as a divine command to become the answer to our prayer.  But if we are to take the biblical understanding seriously, intercession is more than that. It changes the world and it changes what is possible to God. It creates an island of relative freedom in a world gripped by unholy necessity. A new force field appears that hitherto was only potential. The entire configuration changes as the result of the change of a single part. A space opens in the praying person, permitting God to act without violating human freedom. The change in one person thus changes what God can thereby do in that world.

All of Jesus' teachings on prayer feature imperatives. (See for example, Luke 11:9 "Ask.....search.....knock.") In prayer we are ordering God to bring the Kingdom near. It will not do to implore. We have been commanded to command. We are required by God to haggle with God for the sake of the sick, the obsessed, the weak, and to conform our lives to our intercessions. This is a God who invents history in interaction with those "who hunger and thirst to see right prevail" (Matt. 5:6, REB). How different this is from the static god of Greek philosophy that all these years has lulled so many into adoration without intercession !

Praying is rattling God's cage and waking God up and setting God free and giving this famished God water and this starved God food and cutting the ropes off God's hands and the manacles off God's feet and washing the caked sweat from God's eyes and then watching God swell with life and vitality and energy and following God wherever God goes.

When we pray we are not sending a letter to a celestial White House, where it is sorted among piles of others. We are engaged, rather, in an act of co-creation, in which one little sector of the universe rises up and becomes translucent, incandescent, a vibratory centre of power that radiates the power of the universe.

History belongs to the intercessors, who believe the future into being. If this is so, then intercession, far from being an escape from action, is a means of focusing for action and of creating action. By means of our intercessions we veritably cast fire upon the earth and trumpet the future into being."

Corporate listening to God in a local congregation or prayer group (Acts 13:1-3)

I. Church Leadership

1. It builds on common conviction among the leadership

a. Believe The Lord continues to speak to His children nowadays - through the Bible, through an idea in our mind, through dreams and visions, voices (inner and outer), daily devotion, sermon messages etc.

b. Children of God are able to receive different messages of God's direction to His Church.

Some are left-sided brain, which is more rational and prone to receiving more messages through reading of the Bible, devotion, listening to sermons and thinking; the others are right sided brain and would be more intuitive, and easier to get visions, ideas, voices and sensations. Some would even be equally strong on both sides too. Nevertheless, no one would be able to have all channels of reception and that is why we need each other in order to understand the Father's will to the Body as a whole.

c. Believe Jesus Christ is Lord, Head of the Church.

As part of the Body, a local Congregation eagerly desires to become healthy and function effectively to let everyone who is equipped be able to build together in the same direction. Expanding the kingdom should be the first priority of the Church!

d. Leaders believe that their first responsibility of leadership is to lead people into understanding the will of God.

This form of leadership in the way of corporate listening is not to fulfill anyone's presumed idea or agenda. So during this process of listening, no one is supposed to add any of his own presumed idea, but to simply come together before God and let Him speak to the whole Congregation, so that they can understand His will all together.

e. Leaders believe that once they understand clearly what the Lord says, His instruction is practical.

Those leaders who have the gifting of strategy and organization would be able to contribute more in the second stage. And leaders ought to be very determined to obey what the Father shows them at all costs.

2. Everyone in the leadership ought to participate and agree on the above convictions. However, corporate listening should not be only a meeting, but is a process of waiting on God and needs enough time to do so. To begin with, it takes two whole days to wait on God and cannot be done in a hurry.

II. How to do?

1. Two or three together in the leadership, one leads and the other one or two persons assist, helping in discernment and decision making.

2. The leader first briefly explains and instructs the congregation what to do.

3. The worship team and intercessory team prepare the people and lead them into the presence of the Spirit. These two teams are the catalyst in the listening and they are very important. That is why we need to make sure that they are the right people with the right spirit, mature, with the sign of God's favor upon them.

4. Two or three other persons would be needed to help in recording all messages, including songs, scriptures and where these songs came from, who has spoken, who has prayed and what was shared. Everything should be recorded for later reference.

5. Worship is continuous without stopping, even when someone shares, until to a certain point of brief conclusion, in the form of a declaration, confession, prayer of conviction and repentance, related prophetic acts or an explanation. Every session may last for about two hours, depending on how long people can concentrate. Nevertheless, the duration of a session should not be limited to a definite time that it ought to be stopped. The most important here is to be very sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

The last small session can be used to listen to one other about what they feel most strongly and any messages they received during the whole process, including their own personal perception or struggle that may need to be openly discussed.

III. How to help the congregation to grasp hold of the messages that Father God says?

1. Assume everyone is able to listen. For the first three years, we may need to help those who are inexperienced in listening to God's voice by some simple teachings and minister to each one personally in prayer.

2. Brief explanation in the beginning, of the purpose of obeying His instruction is to acknowledge His headship and exalt Christ as our Chief Commander, so that the Body can move forward accordingly.

3. During the time of worship, encourage people to come out to share anything they received, without requiring any interpretation. This can be in the form of a word or a phrase, a picture without understanding of its meaning, an idea that comes to their mind, a scripture, a song or a prayer one feels he should pray out. One's responsibility is to fully participate and be faithful in reporting to the others according to what each receives.

4. The responsibility of the leaders is to discern continuously all the different revelations received. This is to discern what the direction the Lord shows as well as any strategies from Him. Allow human mistakes, but do not concentrate on any false perception. Focus only on finding out the right direction and not integration of every thought, as our Father would never make any mistake of instruction. This is the benefit of corporate togetherness to allow people to grow into maturity during the process.

IV. Suggestion of doing the first time:

For the first time of doing this corporate listening, the run-down can better be started as follows. In later years, some time can firstly be spent on examination of some working reports and evaluation of some previous data.

1. Welcome each other

2. Brief explanation of why and how to do corporate listening.

3. Look back into the history of this congregation to understand what are their strengths, weaknesses and points of thanksgiving to the Lord.

4. Worship and thank the Lord, focusing on what He has done in this Congregation, thank Him for His resources that has been gracious provided, thank Him also for those who has brought an influence in the past as well as every kind of goodness from Him.

5. Dedication to the Lord of our own selves, rededicate the Congregation back to Him, and proclaim His lordship and headship over the whole congregation. Declaring our willingness to surrender to His leadership, welcome The Lord and let Him know that we will do whatever He is going to reveal, direct and assign to us. Then follow the flow of the Holy Spirit into His guidance accordingly. The whole process needs about 2.5 to 3 hours.

V. How the Church grows into maturity through the process of corporate listening?

1. Unity can be achieved and passed on to others in the future by walking forward together according to what Father God says rather than by pure discussion, human wisdom, organization and leadership skills.

2. The whole Congregation can embrace the same vision for God's kingdom. Everyone can then be fully involved in carrying out the Lord's assignment through their own different forms of contribution such as time, money and gifting, leading to almost 100% mobilization.

3. People's spiritual character grows more mature as they begin to love praying, seeking the Lord, reading the Bible, outreaching to the community, showing mercy to the poor and responding to the Lord and going on short term missions. People are becoming more like full time ministers.

4. The implementation of the vision will bring tremendous impact to the society and government, leading to popular respect for the church, and huge numbers of people will hear the gospel with church growth, like what has been happening in Taiwan, Malaysia, mainland China and elsewhere with overseas Chinese.

5. Some far reaching impact of this approach includes:

A. Evangelism Campaign in HK (from 1996 to 2004) has now become a prototype of pioneering in Taiwan, Malaysia, schools, factories and communities in different provinces of mainland China.

B. Quality changes of the Congregation to equip them to become visionary leaders who are equipped to show mercy to the poor, cooperate in working with the Holy Spirit.

C. Sichuan disaster relief (since 2008 May till now), helping in restoration and building up of victims involved and those "left behind children".

D. Serving the children in China (since 2009 till now) envisioned an organization to reach out to those "left behind children" with HK churches.

E. Intercession for Israel and the Muslim world (since 10 years ago).

i. Pray for the reconciliation between the sons of Ishmael and sons of Isaac.

ii. Organize intercessory teams to Muslim countries.

iii. Intercede for those women and children who are under the bondage of sex slavery.

VI. What I have learnt from this experience?

  • Becoming more convicted in this kind of leadership in the local congregation.
  • Humbled by God to see we are only His vessel and it is a great privilege being able to be used by Him.
  • Becoming more united and trusting with other leaders, knowing that we need each other to build up a congregation that can obey the will of God.
  • Church growth is no longer a target but the fruit of walking in the right direction.

Washington, D.C. area (Pentagon City, Arlington, Virginia)

Approximately 85-90 ministry leaders, issue experts and intercessors from throughout America gathered for two days of all-out prayer for the USA one week before its mid-term elections (November 4). We were determined to avoid the syndrome of most American conferences- lots of talking and very little praying- so the many excellent presentations were limited to 10 minutes and we tried to spend twice as much time praying in response. The Lord was with us to lead and anoint this approach as we heard from many well-informed people, who each presented a brief overview and strategic prayer concerns for a particular issue facing the USA at this time.

We identified and repented for the sins of the nation, most of which we had to acknowledge were the result of the Church not providing sufficient "salt and light" to the surrounding culture and nation and because of its general prayerlessness. We also prayed for reconciliation and the healing of division between leaders, churches and para-church organizations, including the racial divide that has torn us apart and continues to sow bitterness, especially among African Americans and the growing number of Hispanics. We asked the Lord to grant us spiritual revival and moral restoration.

Other issues that we focused prayer on were the following:
Government and the mid-term elections
Business and the marketplace
Education and the government's plan to introduce Common Core
The Family, an institution under assault
The battle for life and protection of the unborn
Reaching the lost
The unity and strengthening of the prayer movement
Youth, children and for emerging leaders of the next generation
Religious freedom endangered by recent decisions of the courts in favor of same-sex marriage
The media
False religion and the occult invasion
National security issues, including our military forces and the threat of radical Islam and ISIS.

We concluded by focusing on the supremacy of Jesus Christ our Lord and with a few minutes of complete silence on our knees together.

We heard encouraging prophetic words from one prophetic leader who told us that he saw a vision of a coming storm that would break the power of the dark forces with which America is struggling and bring in a new era of spiritual revival and restoration. Another prophetic message from an Arab American participant is attached below. What welcome messages these are!

We believe that history does belong to the intercessors and that the Lord will do "far more abundantly" than all we have asked or imagined during the NPA. He will bring about true "hope and change" for the USA as we continue to pray and trust Him along with hundreds of thousands of others across the nation.

Prophetic dream
I saw a physical map of the United States. Then the map transformed into a giant bride that stood up slowly. She was dirty and her dress was dirty. However, she started shaking her self from her head to her feet till all the dirt and soot fell off. I saw all kinds of evil and creatures fall off of her. She looked at her dress and was happy with what she saw. Next, the US bride turned around, extended her arms , embraced and hugged the world real tight. End of vision

Please pray with us for the USA to stand up and shake off the numerous bad moral, political and spiritual influences that have weakened and besmirched her. Pray that strong, good leaders will be put into power and that spiritual revival and moral restoration will soon grace our nation to the glory of the Lord.

WASHINGTON - The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan - the Taliban group that seeks the overthrow of the Pakistani government - has sworn allegiance to the Islamic State, or ISIS, and has directed jihadists across the region to help ISIS set up its caliphate.

ISIS declared its caliphate from territory seized last June from northeastern Syria to western and central Iraq, and threatens to take over all of the Levant that includes Jordan, the rest of Syria, Lebanon and Israel. ISIS and its caliph, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, already have received backing from Abdul Maulana Aziz, a follower of the Afghan Taliban supreme leader Mulla Mohammad Omar who led the infamous Red Mosque rebellion in Pakistan. Aziz also is close to the Tehnik-i-Taliban Pakistan, or TTP, as WND recently revealed. The TTP seeks to overthrow by violent means the Pakistani government, which possesses nuclear weapons.

Aziz's support for Baghdadi and ISIS comes as Pakistan, a predominantly Sunni country, faces yet another political crisis that threatens the existence of its democratic secular government. Political opponents of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have demanded his resignation, which he has refused. His opponents want sweeping constitutional reform to replace parliamentary democracy and to confront alleged corruption that has crept into the electoral process. However, jihadist groups see an opportunity now to assert their influence as Pakistan's political crisis grows worse.

Until now, the Afghan Taliban had been aligned with al-Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. As further evidence of the TTP's allegiance to ISIS, the jihadist group's supporters have been seen in the Pakistani city of Peshawar distributing pamphlets praising ISIS. In addition, ISIS flags have been seen in street rallies in Indian-administered Kashmir.

The TTP announced its support for ISIS in a message celebrating the Muslim holy festival of Eid al-Adha."Oh our brothers, we are proud of you in your victories," the message said. "We are with you in your happiness and your sorrow.

"In these troubled days, we call for your patience and stability, especially now that all your enemies are united against you. Please put all your rivalries behind you. ... All Muslims in the world have great expectations of you," the message added. "We are with you, we will provide you with mujahideen (fighters) and with every possible support."

The message was released following posting of a video on Friday of the beheading of ISIS' latest victim, British aid worker Alan Henning. Like ISIS, the TTP is funded by supporters in Gulf Arab countries to include Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. TTP's swearing of allegiance to ISIS potentially extends the jihadist groups influence and potential for a caliphate from the Middle east into South Asia.

Although the TTP and the Afghan Taliban are separate entities with differing goals, they have been known to collaborate on occasion. The Afghan Taliban seeks to take over Afghanistan itself. With the Afghan Taliban biding its time until U.S. forces completely leave Afghanistan by 2017, ISIS has the opportunity to extend its influence in that country as well.

The TTP's support for ISIS is just the latest indication that a number of jihadist groups, previously affiliated with al-Qaida, are calling for a truce between the two groups to unite against the western "Crusader attacks." The call comes in the form of a proposal titled "An Initiative and Call for a Ceasefire Between Factions in Syria."

"Due to the Crusader attacks on our Muslim brothers in Syria and Iraq," the proposal called on all jihadist groups to put aside their disagreements, many of which have resulted in fighting among the various factions.

"We call on all factions in Syria and Iraq to cease fighting among themselves no later than the evening of (Oct. 3, 2014), for perhaps Allah most high will descend his mercies upon Syria and its people in the prayer of Muslim crowds on that great day.

"And we request from all the factions that they announce their position regarding this initiative in their manner in three days from the date of the publication of this statement, so that it can be made known and clear who rejects this blessed initiative."

The jihadist proposal pointed out that 40 countries had united "and gathered together to wage war against" Islam itself. "So, does our loyalty to Islam and its people not require of us to stop the infighting under the bombardment of this Crusader campaign at the very least if a permanent end to it is not possible?" the proposal asked.

Since last year, ISIS has been in a pitched battle with al-Qaida-affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra, although there have been increasing indications that many fighters from al-Nusra are joining ISIS due to its declaration of a caliphate over territory it has captured and occupied. Al-Qaida similarly seeks a caliphate but hasn't taken over territory as ISIS has.

Please pray for the overthrow of any intended cooperation between these terrorist movements and that both of them will be defeated by the governments and military forces trying to stop them.

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 1 Tim 2:1-2

Pray for the new government in Afghanistan
Afghanistan's new President, Ashraf Ghani, is casting a vision for The New Afghanistan.  He is speaking about tackling the major issues confronting this troubled country.

In his first few days in office he is calling for unity among all Afghans and demonstrating his commitment by forming a unity government.  He has pledged to take on corruption at all levels and asked the Afghan people to hold him accountable.  He has stipulated that all new government hires be based on merit, not nepotism and cronyism.  He is honoring the former President by giving him an office and asking him to be his advisor.  He has announced plans to reform the judiciary and get his country operating under the rule of law. And he has signed the bilateral security agreement with NATO and told the insurgents to come to the negotiating table or suffer the consequences.

Ashraf Ghani's wife of 38 years, Rula, is a non-Muslim, some say a Christian, originally from Lebanon. She will play a significant role in the new government and is already a beacon of hope for women and minorities throughout Afghanistan. All of these bold initiatives reflect kingdom values.  The Afghan people are hopeful that this is indeed a "new day for Afghanistan."  After all, why do we elect leaders?  Don't we look to them to bring order out of chaos?  Let's join together and pray for his success!

Pray against the work of the enemy.
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2Cor 10:4

We know the enemy is working actively against the success of this new administration.  Let's join together to bind the work of the enemy, to cause disruption and confusion and dissent among their ranks and to foil all their evil plans and to cause despair and hopelessness for their cause.
