He says he heard God speak - and what happened next shocked doctors
Christopher Gunderson was born with complete gastroparesis, unable to eat normally and reliant on feeding tubes for 16 years. Told by doctors he might not survive, he experienced daily pain and severe limitations. But at a ministry event in 2011, after prayer and a powerful encounter with God, Christopher felt what he describes as a 'lightning bolt' through his body - a shock that he believes restarted his stomach. That night, he ate a full meal for the first time ever - without pain. Over the following weeks, he was able to eat normally and eventually had his feeding tubes removed. His doctors were stunned. Today, Christopher shares his testimony widely, proclaiming the healing power of Jesus and the reality of miracles.
Aspiring preacher gets American Idol platinum ticket: 'To God be the glory'
Seventeen-year-old Canaan Hill, an aspiring preacher from Dallas, Texas, wowed the American Idol judges with a powerful rendition of 'I Need Your Glory' by Earnest Pugh, earning him a rare platinum ticket. Hill, who graduated early to pursue God’s calling, left judges in awe, with Lionel Richie declaring his performance 'spectacular' and praising his spiritual gift. Carrie Underwood described his voice as 'velvet' and 'powerful’, while Luke Bryan joked about the revival-style impact his singing must have in church. Hill humbly replied, 'To God be the glory’. He joins a growing list of bold Christian contestants on the show, including previous runner-up Megan Danielle and worship leader Warren Peay, all using their talents to glorify Jesus on a national stage.
Miracles and humility: the heart of the Asbury revival
The extraordinary events of the Asbury revival continue to inspire hearts two years after they first captivated the world. Pastor Zach Meerkreebs has reflected on the powerful move of God he witnessed firsthand. He describes the experience as the 'honour of a lifetime’, often bringing him to tears due to its profound impact. There were remarkable miracles, including healings, deliverance, and conversions. He recalls a basketball player who came to Christ midweek and later prayed for someone whose tumours vanished. These events, he says, demonstrate the transformative power of God's presence. Having grown up Jewish, Meerkreebs credits Jesus' incarnation with revealing true humility. His initial struggles with pride were dismantled during the 2023 Asbury outpouring, a time when students and the community gathered for continuous prayer and worship. Central to this revival was radical humility, where individuals emptied themselves to make room for God's Spirit. Meerkreebs believes such humility, countercultural in today's self-centred world, can profoundly transform lives.
Tent crusades overflow with miracles and faith
Evangelist Mario Murillo continues to witness remarkable growth in his outdoor crusades, repeatedly outgrowing his tents. Over four years, his tent size has quadrupled, now reaching 40,000 square feet. Murillo began focusing on California's Central Valley, known for its struggles, where many found hope in Christ. His next crusade is set for Charlotte, North Carolina. Murillo's journey started in San Francisco during the Jesus Movement. By 1970, his student ministry at UC Berkeley drew thousands. In 1982, a planned four-day meeting in San Jose extended to 22 weeks with nightly crowds of up to 4,000. He credits the Holy Spirit's guidance for his ministry's second wave. 'The Lord told me to buy a tent, and miracles followed’, he recalls. His emphasis on preaching Scripture and seeking God's direction has been pivotal. Murillo stresses humility and integrity in using spiritual gifts. 'When truth is preached to a broken audience in Jesus' name, powerful things happen.'
Rejoice greatly and shout for joy!
‘“The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy” (Isaiah 35:1). Spending an afternoon in the garden with my grandchildren brought unexpected joy. As we worked, my grandson discovered tiny snails and shared them with his sister, who excitedly named them and took them home. Amidst the simple beauty of spring’s arrival, my heart rejoiced. Spring symbolises hope and new beginnings. Just as crocus shoots break through the soil, God renews our weary hearts. Isaiah 43:18-19 reminds us that He is always doing a new thing, making a way in the wilderness. Jesus, too, experienced a wilderness season, yet He overcame temptation, fulfilling His mission. We face trials, but we are never without God’s grace. His mercies are new every morning. As we step into each day, let us rejoice in the promise of resurrection and renewal.’
Surprised by God’s ‘blackmail’ to stop smoking
Aubrey writes: ‘Moving into a new home was chaotic - boxes everywhere, toddlers running around, and a landlady waiting for rent. I knew I had stashed my cash somewhere safe, but no matter how much I searched, I couldn’t find it. Frustrated, I stepped into the bathroom and prayed, 'God, help me find that money.' Suddenly, a strong thought came to mind: If you quit smoking, you’ll find that money. I was stunned - this wasn’t what I had prayed for! I stormed out, refusing to obey, but after more fruitless searching, I knew I had no choice. Angrily, I went back, sat down, and declared, 'All right! I’ll quit smoking! Now where is that money?' But the voice pressed further: ‘How will I know you are serious?’ Reluctantly, I found all my cigarettes, soaked them in water, and threw them away. Still frustrated, I walked to my jewelry box and, for the umpteenth time, opened it. This time, I lifted the top section - and there was my wad of cash, right where I had placed it! God had spoken, and I couldn’t ignore Him. From that moment on, I never smoked another cigarette - I didn’t dare.’
‘We are living in Pentecost’: vivid dream which sparked Gather25
In February, 7 million people from 225 countries joined Gather25, a 25-hour global prayer event led by Jennie Allen. Live gatherings in multiple locations and over 21,000 small groups united believers in worship, prayer, and repentance. Allen shared that the vision for Gather25 began with a vivid dream, pressing an urgency upon her to spread the Gospel as widely and quickly as possible. She saw an opportunity to mobilise the global Church in prayer, relying on cutting-edge AI translation technology to overcome language barriers. She described the event as a modern-day Pentecost, where, for the first time, believers worldwide gathered without linguistic obstacles. Despite concerns over AI, she emphasised that God is using technology to advance Bible translation and global evangelism. Stories of faith, including testimonies from former child soldiers in Africa, moved Allen deeply. Reflecting on the event’s impact, she declared, 'We are the fish and loaves story.'
Incredible reports of revival sweeping across UK
A fresh move of God is sweeping across the UK, with increasing reports of prayer gatherings, healings, and spiritual renewal. Pastor Craig Cooney of Hope Church, Northern Ireland, describes it as 'a rising river', signaling the end of the spiritual drought caused by the pandemic. He notes that weekly prayer meetings are growing, with believers interceding passionately for the lost. Testimonies of divine healings are becoming more frequent, even among those previously skeptical. In England, Rev Liz Doyle recently prayed with British leaders inside Windsor Castle, sensing God’s promise to bring revival to St George’s Chapel. Scotland, too, is experiencing breakthrough: Franklin Graham’s Glasgow event saw over 7,000 people attend, with many surrendering to Christ. This revival mirrors Elijah’s servant seeing a cloud the size of a man’s hand - a sign of greater things to come. God is calling His people to prayer, consecration, and deeper commitment. See
‘Jesus Is King’: biggest streamer in the world shares Gospel with fans
Tyler Blevins, known as 'Ninja’, is one of the world’s most influential video-game streamers, with millions of followers across Twitch and YouTube. Recently, he made a bold faith statement during a livestream, declaring, 'Jesus is King’. This isn’t the first time Blevins has spoken about his beliefs. In 2019, he shared how doctors pressured his mother to abort him due to health concerns, but she refused, choosing life for him and his brothers. He calls her a 'saint' for that decision. During his recent faith discussion, Ninja encouraged respectful conversations about religion, urging people to listen rather than argue. He emphasised that faith should stem from a personal relationship with God, not fear. Blevins also highlighted the power of prayer, sharing how daily prayer has positively transformed his life. His core message is simple: love and respect everyone, regardless of their beliefs.
‘I was wrong’: Wikipedia co-founder abandons scepticism
Larry Sanger, co-founder of Wikipedia, has publicly declared his Christian faith after decades of scepticism. In a blog post, he shared his testimony, revealing his journey from doubt to embracing the truth of the Gospel. Sanger’s scepticism began in childhood, leading him to question all religions. Though he engaged in internal dialogues with a 'supremely wise being’, he never considered it true prayer. However, marriage and fatherhood challenged his worldview, making him reconsider self-interest and secular ideologies. His disillusionment with aggressive atheism prompted deeper reflection. In 2020, he began reading the Bible extensively, gradually realising its reliability. Though there wasn’t a single conversion moment, he eventually prayed a sinner’s prayer, acknowledging God’s truth. He now affirms that Scripture withstands scrutiny, contrary to his earlier assumptions. His transformation has softened him, bringing significant change to his life. His testimony stands as a powerful reminder that truth, when sought with an open heart, leads to Christ.
