Events Calendar
Incredibly, it’s almost ten years since the first prayer space, and we reckon that at least a million children and young people have participated in one in their local school already. At the Day Conferences in September, we’ll be marking this tenth anniversary with some inspiring stories (possibly some cake too), and we’ll also be looking ahead at what we hope is still to come.
We’re delighted that Professor Julian Stern from York St John University will be with us to present the findings of his research into the impact of prayer spaces in schools (a published format will be available), and then we’ll have a variety of practitioners leading 10-12 workshops and hosting conversations with those who are just getting started with their first prayer spaces, and with those who have hosted loads of them and who are now wrestling with questions around better practice or theology or safe-guarding or working alongside those of other faiths, etc. We’ll also be launching some new resources, and reporting on the spread of prayer spaces in schools into other nations too. It’s going to be a blast!
Anyway, the main details are as follows;
LONDON, St Mark’s Battersea Rise, Saturday 23rd September, 10.30am - 5pm
YORK, St John’s University, Saturday 30th September, 10.30am - 5pm
