- Leviticus 6:13
We are pleased to bring you the July 2025 edition of IPC Connections!
If you are reading IPC Connections for the first time, may I welcome you to the IPC Global Family! It really is a joy to have you with us as we seek to ‘Exalt Jesus, catalyzing united prayer for Kingdom transformation of peoples, cities and nations’.
I trust that you will be blessed and encouraged as you read the articles, news and resources info this month.
Snapshot from the IPC Regions…
It has been encouraging to meet local, regional and international leaders over the last few months in Asia and Europe! I am amazed as I observe a growing momentum of partnership in Bible-based prayer across the movements – all for the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
The Asia Prayer Summit, in Batam, Indonesia, in April, led by Daniel and Estell Brink drew together hundreds of leaders of Houses of Prayer across the region. The fruit of that gathering was a collective pledge to plant 40 new 24-7 Prayer Watches – Hallelujah! Their next Eurasia Summit is 13-15 October in Malta.
Several of our IPC leaders took part in the Global Leaders Summit in Fiuggi, Italy in May, where a joint prayer initiative with Global 33 (Director - Henry Cappello) was launched with the vision to mobilise 133 million Missionary Disciples across the Catholic Church by 2033. This was followed by the G33 Women of Influence Summit (WINS) led by Sabina Cappello.
E21 - 7,000+ believers from 100+ nations took part in the Empowered 21 Pentecostal World Conference in Helsinki, Finland, at the beginning of June with inspiring teaching from Billy Wilson, Christine Caine and Rick Warren. As well as leading a prayer-focused breakout group, we hosted a 2-hour Pentecost Global Day of Prayer livestream in tandem with Brian Alarid (Director of World Prays), who was located in Spain. It was a powerful time of worship and prayer for revival across the Jewish world with stirring and inspiring teaching from Rick Warren. (See Editorial 2) Thank you to the many prayer leaders who took part! See the 40 minute excerpts video!
Many believers joined in the recently launched Global Day of Prayer for revival across the Catholic Church on Sunday 29th June. It is wonderful to see this fresh wave of worship and prayers for renewal among our evangelical Catholic brothers and sisters, who share the vision to reach every nation by 2033!
We are into the final week of 30 Days of Prayer for the Church in Israel & Iran (Psalm 122:6) Do join us as we stand with real-life believers facing trials & triumphs across the Middle East.
Our 4 Global Days of Prayer continue to attract offline and online support, engaging 100 million+ believers each time, for which I continue to be astounded and grateful! The Buddhist, Muslim and Jewish World focused days of prayer have taken place. We are looking forward to the Day of Prayer for the Hindu World in October! – See below…
The Global Family 24-7 Prayer Room continues its rhythm of continuous online prayer – around the throne, around the clock, around the globe!
Christians worldwide are signing up for ‘Shooting Arrows’ - a 24-7 prayer call to raise a Godly generation walking boldly in truth and purpose. This is an excellent Jericho Walls initiative in partnership with IPC!
The Interseed Online House of Prayer are inviting IPC Partners to join their app platform for free. More info below!

My wife and I just returned from a week of vacation with my family, our 3 kids and 5 grandkids. It was such a special time to be together, to rest, to play games, to enjoy the sun and swim at the pool, to laugh, to have meals together and spend time with Jesus as a family. We are so grateful!
Family really is God’s idea! All of us want to be part of a healthy family. No matter our life stage — married, single, parent, grandparent, or empty nester — we all want to be surrounded by a tribe of people who support us, love us, and help us pursue a meaningful life in the grace of God!
In a world where parents are stressed and overloaded, and kids are often confused by the mixed messages they receive from culture, I wanted to share a few things with our IPC family that my wife and I have learned over the years about family, looking at the God-designed roles of fathers and mothers and how we grow together as Families that please the Lord!
Ultimately our families exist to display the Glory of God! Biblically the home is the primary place where faith is nurtured, and the church comes alongside to help parents bring up their children in the instruction and the love of the Lord. As believers we have the wonderful privilege of “Living out our faith at Home.” The parenting road map in Scripture is found in Deuteronomy 6:4-9 ,
““Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up”
This roadmap provides 3 foundational truths for us:
- Allegiance and Loyalty to God,
- Sharing our faith and love to our children in the home, and
- Constantly remembering and acknowledging God and his ways.
Teaching our children to Love God above all else is the foundation of all parenting and we know that supreme love for God is more caught than it is taught! Jesus Christ must take first place in our lives and our homes. He must be front and center in all that we do. Parents are called to create an environment in the home where their children can grow up in the ‘presence of the Lord.’ Every Christian home becomes an altar of God’s presence. I want to recommend a great resource by a good friend Cheryl Sacks, called ‘The Fire of Family Altar.’ Countless families have been impacted by this practical book that helps families experience the power of the Holy Spirit in their homes!
I believe God has designed specific roles for Mothers and Fathers in the home!
The role of a mother - is to create a loving and nurturing environment where her children are deeply seen and deeply known! Mothers are to provide emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual nutrients to help their children grow into a healthy adult. Mothers are the first love in our lives, as little ones – where we recognize her face, her voice, the meaning of her moods and facial expressions - Mothers are meant to provide a welcoming home in her body for the life of a little child to grow. In that safe place, she received you, kept you, and nourished you for nine months.
After you left the womb, she was meant to provide another welcoming home, this time in her arms. As you felt her touch, which was tender, heard her voice, which was soothing, and experienced her gaze, which was steady and attentive, you were meant to receive the messages of life and wholeness. A mom says to you “It’s wonderful that you’re alive, that you are here, that you exist!” A mom says, “Your needs are normal and reasonable, and as a mom I am glad to help.”
Mothers help their children hear regularly, “You are loved unconditionally.” Children want a mom who sees them, pays attention to them and listens to them. They deeply desire for their mom’s presence and constant tender(touch) affection. A mom says to her children, ‘it’s ok to BE.’ A mother says your existence is delightful, that you are lovable, that you are wanted and that your needs are acceptable.
I have watched my wife, mama to our three kids and now to our five grandkids nurture our children and create a welcoming home over many years. She created a safe place in our home - day after day listening, encouraging, seeing and noticing! She has a tender touch – gentle hugs and has instilled in our kids deep trust and emotional wholeness!
The role of a Father - Fathers are given the responsibility of ‘calling out’ and ‘naming’ their children. A Father has the God-given authority and responsibility to BLESS their children. A Father is to speak words to you or about you that would be words of life, blessing your true self, and instilling in you the courage to develop the abilities and gifts that are part of your nature.
I was encouraged by this short teaching video from Craig Hill on Imparting the Father's Blessing on our families.
Fathers are meant to be the first reference point regarding your identity; your closest visual aid to demonstrate Father God’s intention of defining who you are meant to be and become!
A Father’s influence has the power to affect, for good or for bad, the way we feel about our abilities, our character, our appearance, and our gender.
Fathers are to call out the beauty of their daughters. Every year at Christmas, I would take my daughters on a date. We would get dressed up, and I would bless and affirm my daughters in who they are and who they are becoming, calling forth their beauty, and modelling for them how a true man should treat them!
Fathers are meant to call out their sons’ gifts and encourage them to risk and try new things!
“Son you have what it takes to do great things in the Lord”
– In other words, it’s ok to Do! If you fall, I’m here to pick you up and encourage you to try again in the grace of God!
Fathers are called to discipline their children, but not in a harsh or mean way – but a steady, controlled and consistent way that instils confidence and character over time!
When my son turned 13, I gave him a ‘Lord of the Rings sword.’ I blessed him and called forth his manhood! I charged him to be a man of God, a man of his word, a man who would work hard, and a man who respects women! And a few months later, we took a Father/Son trip together to Israel, and I baptized him in water in the Jordan! It was one of the greatest highlights of my life - I am so proud of him and who he is becoming!
When our kids were younger, we would always do our best to pray over them and bless them before they went to bed!
As parents, we have discovered that our kids needed time with us! One of the most practical things we can do is just be together - enjoying each other, playing together, eating together, praying together, working hard together and at times doing ministry together!
We intentionally did our best to have weekly dates with our kids individually and to always have family dinner together!
We certainly made many mistakes in parenting over the years. None of us as parents are perfect – often If we didn’t follow through or if we hurt our kids we would do our best to confess to them our sin, apologize and ask for their forgiveness– committing by God’s grace to do better in the future. This helped them to be authentic and not have to hide or have secrets in areas of weakness or sin in their lives.
And probably the most important lesson what we have learned over the years is that we only parent our kids to the degree that we receive the love of our Heavenly Father – the closer that we are connected with the Lord, his life and love flows through us and our kids see and experience the goodness of God in us and through us!
From our family to yours - God bless you in this incredible journey of Family! Love you all
Until He comes,

Dr Jason Hubbard:
Well, it's such an honor and privilege to have, one of our heroes of the faith, a true father in the church - Pastor Rick Warren.
He's going to come and he's going to share with us his heart as it relates to prayer.
Rick has been a man of prayer for literally 40, 50 years of his ministry and seen incredible fruit. So let's listen and learn from Pastor Rick Warren.
Rick Warren:
Hi everybody, I’m Pastor Rick Warren. This Pentecost is a very significant one because it's the first of eight that's leading us to Pentecost 2033, which will be the 2,000th birthday of Christianity. The 2,000th birthday of the Body of Christ. The 2,000th celebration of the birth, death and resurrection of Christ.
So, the next eight Pentecosts are going to be incredibly important, particularly with prayer power, as we are seeking to complete the Great Commission together in the next eight years.
Now, what I'd like to do, in my time with you, is talk to you about the importance of prayer for just a second, and then I want to lead you in a directed prayer together, during this time.
Okay. Now, Jesus said, we're to pray always and not faint or pray and don't get discouraged. I've discovered that in life, you're always doing one or the other. You're either getting discouraged or you're praying. If you're praying, you're not going to be discouraged. If you're discouraged, it means you're not praying.
So we are to pray always and not give up.
And this is an important part of prayer. The more Jesus saw his ministry grow, the more time he spent in prayer. He modeled for us what he wanted us to do, and that is to pray always and not give up.
Now, my model that I want to give us in this particular moment is the model of the calling of Isaiah. The Bible says that in the year that the king Uzziah died, Isaiah had a vision. And he said, I saw the Lord. And when God gives you a vision, there's going to be three parts to it.
And I call it woe, low and go, woe low and go!
First Isaiah saw a vision of his own, imperfection, his own sinfulness, his own brokenness. And so we start in prayer with confession, saying, ‘Lord, woe is me. I am a man undone. I have unclean lips.’ In other words, we want to serve the Lord, but we know there's some junk in our lives that God wants to clean up first.
God can use almost any kind of vessel. He can use a large vessel, a small vessel. He can use broken vessels. The one thing God cannot use is a dirty and unclean vessel.
So revival in my heart starts with cleansing.
Okay, that is ‘woe is me, for I am undone’. I need the cleansing of the confession of my own sin. From that confession, ‘woe is me that I am undone’, it says.
And lo, an angel came and touched my tongue with a burning censer. And he said, I was cleansed by the cleansing power of fire from that angel. Woe is me, for I am undone.
And lo, an angel came and touched my lips. Confession is followed by cleansing. And then he said, then the angel God says, who will I send?
Okay. He said, And Isaiah said, here am I, Lord, send me. This is a commissioning.
So we start with confession. We move to cleansing and then we move to commissioning.
That's what I'd like to lead you in a time of prayer right now in these three things.
So if , wherever you are around the world, there are literally thousands of prayer networks joining together this Pentecost to pray for revival in our hearts, to pray for the filling of the Holy Spirit.
It's Pentecost friends! We need Pentecost in our own lives. But, friends, in order to have Pentecost, we must pay the cost for Pentecost. And paying the cost is the cost of confession. Confession. And then cleansing. And then commissioning.
So what I want you to do is, wherever you are in the world right now, if you would just bow your heads and let's just take a moment and bow our heads for a moment of confessing prayer.
The Bible says in Psalm 139, search me. And so Psalm 119 also - search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts. See if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
And so ask God right now. Say, Lord, is there anything that's between me and you? Is there any barrier to whatever it is? If it's a habit? Confess it. If it is a sin, confess it. If it is a person that's between you and the Lord, confess that. If it has been an idol, maybe, making more money was more important to you than God's power in your life. If it has been, being famous, being popular on the school campus, that was anything you idolize. Even good things can become idols. When what should be number two and number three in your life becomes number one.
So with your head bowed, have a time of searching.
Search me, oh God. You say that in your heart right now - search me, oh, God, and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts. Okay?
What thoughts, Lord, have I had that are displeasing to you? Okay.
Prideful thoughts. Confess that. Lustful thoughts. Confess that. Fearful thoughts. Confess that. Worried thoughts. Confess that. Doubtful thoughts. Whatever thoughts come into your mind that have been ugly thoughts. Thoughts of anger. Thoughts of resentment. Maybe jealous thoughts. Okay, maybe, Thoughts of wanting other people, your enemies to be hurt and things like that.
Just right now. Search me, Oh, God.
I'm going to just be quiet for a couple seconds and while I'm just talking to the Lord myself, you talk to the Lord yourself, and then we'll go to the next one.
Just say, God, what's between me and you and ask yourself - Has there ever been a time in my life when I felt closer to God than I do right now? If there has been, it means you need revival. You need repentance and revival in your life.
So say, Lord, I haven't been as close to you as I have been in the past. Confess that to God right now.
In this moment, just let God's Holy Spirit speak to you in confession. Help me Lord. Help me to know what is wrong in my life. What is broken in my life. Help me to know what's a barrier in my life to full fellowship with you. I don't want anything between me and you. I don't want any thing to stand between a clear view of the face of the father in my life.
Brian Alarid:
We're going to come back to Pastor Rick here in just a moment. But, why don't we pause right now? Reflect.
And, you know, the Bible teaches that unconfessed sin is unforgiven sin. God can't forgive what you won't confess. And I think sometimes we're afraid to confess because we're afraid of judgment. We're afraid that he might reject us. Hello! He already knows everything we've done anyway, right?
And so he knows it all. He sees it all. He loves us.
The Bible says it - Romans 2:4 the goodness of God, the kindness of God that brings us to repentance, it’s not the anger of God, it's the kindness of God. So let his kindness, let his love, let his grace overwhelm you.
The Bible says in Romans 5:20 - where sin abounds, maybe there's an area of your life where sin has abounded.
There's been an abundance. It's been habitual. It's you get free and you fall back.
The Bible says where sin abounds, Romans 5:20 - God's grace that's much more super abound in your life.
So receive his forgiveness.
Receive his love, receive his grace. He already paid the price for every sin you could ever commit. It's just simple - Jesus, forgive me. Jesus, forgive me. The thief on the cross didn't have a deep experiential knowledge of the doctrine of repentance. He just said, hey, I'm a sinner. This guy's not - and he got in. So just receive with simple faith, hey, Jesus loves me. He's forgiven me.
Amen. Let's go back to Pastor Rick.
Rick Warren:
Let's go to the second step - Cleansing.
Woe is me comes within cleansing. Lo, an angel came and touched my lips. Cleansing means 1 John 1:6 - 8 and verse nine - if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and he's faithful to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. God is waiting to forgive you.
You're not waiting on him. He's waiting on you. We have confessed our sins. The Greek word for confession is homologia. Homo means same, like homogenized milk. It's all the same. Or homosexual. Homo means the same. Logia means to speak. So confess just means to agree with God, speak the same - ‘God, that was wrong.’ That was wrong. I'm sorry. That was wrong.
And now we come to cleansing. He's faithful and just to cleanse our sins. The Bible says that God does three things with our sins when we confess them. He puts them out of sight. He says, I will put them out behind my back, he says. And then he says, he puts them out of mind. Their sins and their wickedness I will remember no more. And then he puts them in the deepest part of the deepest sea, the Bible says, and he puts up a ‘no fishing’ sign.
And what God has forgiven and what God has forgotten, you should not bring it up again. If you confessed just a second ago some sin, and you were to die in the next second, and you were to go to heaven, and you say, now, Lord, about that sin, he'd say, what sin? Because you've already confessed it, and he is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
That doesn't mean you're going to be perfect. If this is an area of habitual sin, you'll be back there in a matter of time and you'll have to confess again. But God never gets tired of hearing your confession because he is willing. He is merciful. He's forgiving. He's graceful.
So right now, I want you to thank God for his forgiveness. Okay?
Just in this moment, I want you to thank him that all of the things you've ever done wrong is covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. Do you realize that your sins were paid for 2000 years ago, before you even committed them? The payment for your sin was made on the cross. It's not ‘What can I do to get forgiveness?’ There's nothing you can do to get forgiveness. You just admit your sin and receive the forgiveness of on the cross. The Bible says he was chastised for our iniquities, okay?
And our sins were put upon him. He is the Lamb of God, the perfect Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. So right now, thank God that everything you've ever done wrong has been paid for on the cross.
Would you do that right now? Thank him for that forgiveness. Receive that cleansing.
You say, does God ever want me to be guilty? Maybe for a half a second. That's about how long it takes to confess it. But once it's confessed, any sin guilt you have after you've confessed it is not guilt from God. That's from the devil. It means you didn't really believe you were forgiven. So right now, say thank you.
Tell him in five different ways.
- Thank you for forgiving my sin.
- Thank you for cleansing my conscience.
- Thank you for wiping the board clean.
- Thank you for making me a new person inside.
- Thank you that I don't carry that guilt anymore.
In this moment, in your own way, tell God how grateful you are for his forgiveness and his cleansing. You don't deserve it, but it's given to you by grace through faith.
You put your faith in his grace - and that's how you do it.
So in just a moment now, I want you to thank God for your forgiveness. Just do that right now. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you that I don't have to carry on and hold on to guilt and shame and regret that I can be free from all of the things I've ever done wrong.
That I can live with a clear conscience and without shame because you are my Savior. Thank you for saving me from my sin.
Dr Jason Hubbard:
We have so much to be thankful for that there's no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus - that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Amen.
We receive God's mercy where we don't get what we deserve.
We receive God's grace where we get what we don't deserve.
He is so good. He is so kind.
I want to pray over us right now.
Just take a few moments with me as you bow your head. Father, I thank you. Lord. We're so grateful for the power of the blood of your son. The cleansing blood that washes us clean. We thank you that to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood.
Lord, we’re so grateful. We know that we're more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe. But at the same time, in the gospel, we are more loved and accepted into Jesus Christ.
We have more hope in that today, and that's what we put our faith in. So we're grateful and we're thankful today. Lord, as you have washed us clean, we ask right now for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit. Come right now, Holy Spirit, fill us up again from the inside out. Fill us up, we ask. We want to be filled with the Holy Spirit. So come right now. We give our hearts to you and we say, Lord, we are yours. Come and fill us. Come and empower us in the name of Jesus Christ and for your glory. Amen.
Let's go back to Pastor Rick and hear a few more words from him.
Rick Warren:
We go from confession to cleansing, from woe to low, to go.
And once Isaiah had been cleansed and forgiven, God is now looking for somebody to use.
And he says, who, who will I send? And Isaiah says, here am I, Lord, send me. And God sent him out as a prophet, not just to the nation of Israel, but he said, I'm going to make you a prophet to the whole world. God wants you to take the good news to the whole world.
So here's what I want you to do now. I want you to say the most dangerous prayer you can pray. It's only two words. Are you ready for it? It's two words.
Use me.
Pray that to the Lord. Use me, God, use me. Lord, use me for your purpose. Use me for, for your glory. Use me to change lives. Say this in your heart. Use me to share the good news. Use me to tell others.
At Pentecost they didn't just keep the good news to themselves. When the Holy Spirit fell in the upper room with the tongues of fire, the evidence of the Holy Spirit, they began to speak in other tongues, languages. And they went out and they started speaking to the world.
Pentecost starts in the heart with the fire of God's Spirit. But then we have to go outside of the upper room. We have to go out of the prayer closet. We have to go out of the place of prayer and go into the world.
We are now moving from confession and cleansing to commissioning.
Jesus said, As the Father has sent me, so I send you. And we have been given the Great Commission to go into all the world. And so now as they left the upper room where the Holy Spirit had fallen at Pentecost, and now all of a sudden everybody gets the Holy Spirit, not just some special people, but we, all of us receive God's Spirit into our lives for all time.
Now, what is the purpose of that? What is the purpose of the Holy Spirit in your life? Just so you can feel good?
Know that he's close. That's part of it. But that's not all of it. Jesus said it like this. You will receive power. Power, power. What for?
When the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses. My witnesses in the whole world.
In Jerusalem, that's the city you live in.
And Judea, that's like the county, or province, around your city.
And Samaria, that means the people who are different culture than you, but live around you. And to the whole world. Every language, every ends of the earth and and all people everywhere.
So now we come and say, Lord, use me and say, Lord, give me somebody to tell about you. Give me someone to share my testimony, my story. To give the good news. Ask God right now while we're praying to put a name on your mind - someone you know who does not know the Lord.
Just say, Lord, give me the name of somebody I know who doesn't know you. Ask for God to give you that name. And then say, Lord, give me the courage and the love to tell that person about you. Give me the courage and the love. You know, the Bible says, love overcomes fear. Said there's no fear in love, but love casts out all fear.
If you see a house burning down, you overcome your fear of the fire to run in and save a life. Well, there are people out there who are so close to losing a lifetime into eternity without Christ into hell. And you pray, Lord, help me bring them to you before they go into eternity.
I'm going to close by praying for all of you on this cast around the world.
First I want to say as the Director of Finishing the Task and Great Commission allies, Thank you so much. We depend on prayer networks. We depend on you. I can tell you this, and I'm sure any other spiritual leader, pastor could tell you. I know when people are praying for me, I can feel it. And I know when people are not praying for me because I can feel that too.
So pray for your pastor and pray for all leaders who are sharing the good news everywhere, in every language.
Pray for me and pray that together, we might finish the task of the Great Commission and complete it by the 2,000th anniversary of the Church of Jesus Christ, which is just - it'll be eight more Pentecosts after this, all right. That it'll be the ninth Pentecost, including this one.
Let me pray for you, Father, thank you for the privilege of praying for people who pray. Thank you for prayer warriors. Thank you for prayer stalwarts. Thank you for prayer supporters. Thank you for people who understand that with little prayer we have little power, but with great prayer we have great power.
And as we celebrate Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came to give us power, not to judge how high we jump, but how straight we walk and how well we talk, and power to be witnesses into the whole world.
I'm asking for you to bless every person who's praying here today. The fact that they're praying says they want your will. And so we're praying Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Thy will be done in my life as it is in Heaven. Give them physical ability, spiritual strength, supernatural gifts. Give them the tongue of the wise. In other words, to say things they didn't even know they knew. And Jesus had promised that we will say things that we don't know, but they'll give us the right word at the right time, as we tell others the good news of Jesus.
Thank you for everyone in this, prayer cast today and together from around the world in a million different places and different denominations, different nations, different congregations, different organizations, we join together saying, Jesus, we are yours, we are yours.
I pray this blessing on everyone in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
God bless you everybody.
Brian Alarid:
Beautiful, beautiful. Thank you, Pastor Rick, I love that.
Say that prayer with me right now. Lord, use me. Lord, use me.
Maybe you're a high school student and God wants to use you to reach your friends, your classmates. Just got to open your mouth and share your story. Share what Christ has done in you.
My daughter Lauren was 11, she prayed for seven friends, so did a Bible study for them and five of her friends, 11 year olds, gave their life to Christ in our home. Use me. You're not too young. You're not too old. You're not too rich. You're not too poor to be used by God. God wants to use you.
Every believer is a witness. Every member is a ministry. You're a minister of the Gospel and God wants to use you. Maybe you're a nurse and God wants to use you right in your hospital, in your clinic. Maybe you're a school teacher, and God wants to use you to love on your kids and love on your fellow teachers.
My mom was a bilingual school teacher. And so it's not just pastors. There are people that Pastor Rick Warren and Doctor Billy Wilson and Christine Kane and Jensen Franklin can never reach, but you can reach them because they're in your circle of influence. So say, Lord, use me even this weekend.
And I love this - in John 4:39 it says, many of the people of Samaria believed in Jesus because of the testimony of the woman. Which woman? The woman at the well with five failed marriages. So it doesn't matter how bad you've blown it. If you accept Christ, you put your faith in him. You repent of your sins, he wants to use you. In the same day that she got saved, she brought her whole town to Christ and it says many of them believed because of her testimony.
She didn't understand the doctrine of grace or sovereignty of God. She hadn't been through member class. She didn't understand the Trinity. But the moment she got saved, she was being used by God. She's one of the most effective evangelists in the Bible with five failed marriages.
So maybe you’ve failed, maybe you've blown it, maybe you don't feel like a superstar preacher. You don't have to be. God uses ordinary people. So right now, where you're at in your house church, in a persecuted nation watching, you're in a house of prayer, watching through IPC, you're a pastor, you’re a leader, you’re a young person, you're an old person - Just say ‘God, use me’.
God wants to use you for his glory and his fame and to make an impact for eternity.
Use your life. You got one life, make it count, - ‘Lord, use me’.

More than 120 people are confirmed dead and over 170 remain missing following catastrophic flash floods that devastated Central Texas, particularly Kerr County, now the epicentre of the crisis. Among the worst affected was Camp Mystic, a girls’ summer camp near Hunt, where at least 27 campers and counsellors perished when the Guadalupe River rose 26 feet in just 45 minutes. Hundreds of rescuers from state, federal, and local agencies continue search operations, aided by a federal disaster declaration signed by President Trump.
The floods struck during the July 4th weekend, inundating the flood-prone Texas Hill Country. Most of the fatalities occurred in Kerr County, but deaths were also reported in five additional counties. Rescuers face significant obstacles: low-water crossings that became impassable islands, poor cell coverage, and lack of early warning systems.
Emergency response has drawn scrutiny. While 22 escalating alerts were issued by the National Weather Service, residents reported not receiving warnings or underestimating the storm’s severity. Kerr County officials admitted no siren system was in place and cited previous failed attempts to secure funding. The Trump administration has rejected claims that recent staff cuts at federal weather agencies hindered local preparedness.
Questions have also arisen over why Camp Mystic did not evacuate ahead of the storm, unlike other camps in the area. Officials stated that Hill Country evacuations are complex and can sometimes increase risk due to terrain and infrastructure limitations.
Governor Greg Abbott confirmed that one child outside the camp remains missing and Health and Human Services plans to declare a public health emergency. State leaders have pledged legislative action to address emergency communication failures and improve future disaster preparedness.
As the waters slowly recede, grief deepens across communities reeling from this sudden loss of life particularly among families of the many children who died. Amid the heartbreak, first responders press on with courageous resolve to find the missing and comfort the mourning.
Prayer Pointers:
Pray: for God’s comfort over grieving families, especially those who’ve lost children, and for the safe return of the missing.
Pray: ask God for renewed strength and protection for exhausted rescue teams searching through treacherous flood zones and debris fields.
Pray: and intercede for wisdom and integrity in investigations, and for future emergency systems to protect the vulnerable and prevent further loss.
Prayer for the grieving and rescue workers:
Lord, have mercy on Texas. Comfort grieving families, strengthen rescue workers, and bring the missing home. Heal every heart shattered by this flood. Let wisdom and compassion guide every response. We cry out for Your nearness in this sorrow. Amen.
“The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 (NIV)

In recent weeks, the Middle East has witnessed dramatic military escalation and an equally surprising pause. After the U.S. launched precision airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, following Iran’s support for a multi-front assault on Israel, an uneasy ceasefire has taken hold. Despite fears of region-wide retaliation, Iran’s response was muted, and its allied militias remained largely inactive. What was long feared as a trigger for all-out war has, for now, revealed the limits of Iran’s power.
The conflict began brewing after the October 7, 2023, attack by Hamas on Israel. Iran openly supported Hamas and Hezbollah, prompting Israeli and U.S. strikes that dismantled key elements of Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure. Iran’s expected allies; Russia, China, and North Korea, offered no tangible support. In fact, nations like China called for de-escalation, highlighting the fragility of so-called anti-Western alliances.
Though military action proved effective in neutralizing threats, it’s not a long-term solution. Both Israel and the United States must now engage diplomatically to prevent Iran from rebuilding its nuclear capabilities. The upcoming expiration of international sanctions in October presents a key window: Iran must return to compliance or face renewed sanctions and further isolation.
There are tentative hopes for a ceasefire in Gaza and revived diplomatic momentum potentially expanding the Abraham Accords and promoting regional cooperation. However, these efforts hinge on securing hostages and restoring stability in Gaza.
From a biblical worldview, these events underscore two truths: the volatility of earthly powers and the Lord’s unchanging sovereignty. While military might may restrain evil for a season, only the Prince of Peace can bring lasting peace. As Israel defends itself and nations reassess their alliances, believers are called to pray earnestly, faithfully - for God’s hand to move amid the shaking.
Prayer Pointers
- Pray: that peace will be pursued through diplomacy, not just deterrence, and that leaders seek God's justice over political gain.
- Pray: for the Lord to protect believers in Iran and Israel and strengthen their bold witness during this time of upheaval.
- Pray: for the softening of hardened hearts among leaders, that they may respond to conviction and turn toward peace with humility.
Prayer – Prayer for the Church and those in Leadership
Lord, restrain the hand of the violent and raise up peacemakers. Turn leaders’ hearts toward truth, humility, and justice. Strengthen Your church in the Middle East to shine brightly, even in shadows. Let peace take deeper root. Amen.

After decades of violence in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), a new peace agreement between DRC and Rwanda has sparked cautious hope for healing in one of the world’s most afflicted regions. Signed on June 27 in Washington, D.C., the accord is being called a “significant step toward peace” by international leaders, including UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the African Union.
The eastern DRC has long suffered under the grip of armed groups, most notably the M23 rebel group, which has overrun cities, displaced hundreds of thousands, and committed serious human rights abuses. While the Congolese government accuses Rwanda of backing the M23, they’ve denied this, claiming it has acted defensively. Nevertheless, as part of this new agreement, Rwanda has pledged to withdraw its troops from Congolese territory, while both sides will work to demobilize and disarm militias, including the M23 and the FDLR.
The deal also promises a regional economic framework within 90 days, targeting critical minerals like tantalum and lithium, resources vital to global technology but often tied to exploitation and instability in the region. The United States, along with Qatar and the African Union, played a key role in brokering the agreement.
While this accord marks a diplomatic breakthrough, concerns remain. Critics argue that past peace deals have collapsed due to poor enforcement and a lack of accountability. Notably, representatives of M23 were not part of the talks, and observers including Nobel laureate Dr. Denis Mukwege, have warned that the agreement overlooks justice for victims of violence, particularly women and children.
A joint security body will now be tasked with monitoring compliance over the next three months. Success depends on more than paper promises. It will require courage from leaders, protection for civilians, and a true willingness to disarm both hearts and weapons.
Prayer Pointers
- Pray: lasting peace in the DRC—that this agreement would lead to true healing, justice, and demilitarization across communities.
- Pray: Lift survivors of violence - ask God to restore dignity, bring justice, and raise up godly leaders to defend the vulnerable.
- Pray: that greed would not overtake governance, and that resource wealth would be stewarded with righteousness and compassion.
Prayer – Praying for the peace to reign
Father, bring lasting peace to the heart of Africa. Disarm every force of violence and raise up leaders of truth. Heal the wounds of the past, protect the weak, and let justice roll like a river across the Great Lakes region. Amen.

Amid intensifying warfare in Ukraine, the United States has paused several weapons shipments to Kyiv, citing the need to prioritize national defence readiness. The decision, confirmed by the White House, reflects growing concerns that U.S. stockpiles are being stretched too thin after more than two years of heavy support for Ukraine.
Key shipments impacted include Patriot air defence systems and precision-guided munitions vital tools in Ukraine’s effort to defend against relentless Russian aerial attacks. The pause arrives just days after Ukraine endured its most massive aerial assault yet: more than 500 missiles and drones targeted Ukrainian cities, killing civilians and damaging infrastructure.
While the U.S. insists the strength of its military remains unshaken, this moment marks a turning point in American support. Defence leaders are reassessing how best to balance aiding allies with safeguarding homeland readiness. Ukrainian officials have responded with concern, calling the decision painful amid Russia’s increasing gains, including full control of the eastern Luhansk region and territory in Dnipropetrovsk.
Tensions in the region remain high. Russia’s President Putin recently reiterated his claim that Ukraine “is ours,” while Kremlin forces continue their slow advance. Yet, Ukraine has also struck deep into Russian territory, targeting arms facilities with long-range drones. Meanwhile, international diplomacy stirs again: French President Macron held his first conversation in over two years with Putin, urging a ceasefire and negotiations.
The U.S. decision comes just weeks after President Trump’s face-to-face with Ukrainian President Zelensky at the NATO summit. While the two leaders have had a rocky relationship, talks have resumed, and prior suspensions of military aid and intelligence sharing were eventually reversed.
For followers of Christ, this pause is more than policy it’s a reminder of the sobering cost of war, the weariness of nations, and the need for lasting peace. Military might can delay destruction, but it cannot rebuild hearts, cities, or hope. Our ultimate trust is not in weapons or alliances, but in the God who “makes wars cease to the ends of the earth” (Psalm 46:9).
Prayer Pointers (One Min Prayer for Ukraine & Russia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoX_5peamEQ )
- Pray: Ukrainian civilians caught in the crossfire, that God would be their shield, refuge, and source of hope.
- Pray: and ask the Lord to give discernment to U.S. and global leaders as they balance aid, readiness, and long-term peace.
- Pray: for softening in hardened hearts on both sides of the war—that the Spirit of God would stir repentance and peace.
Prayer – Praying for Peace for Ukraine & Russia
Lord God, protect the innocent in Ukraine and Russia alike. Let mercy interrupt violence. Give leaders courage to pursue peace, not pride. Break the weapons of war and raise up Your church to bring healing where fear and hatred have taken root. Amen.
“He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear.” Psalm 46:9 (ESV)
In a small northern village in Sri Lanka, the dirt tells a story. One that families have carried in silence for decades. Chemmani, once just a quiet Tamil village near Jaffna, is now known for something darker: mass graves. Hidden beneath the soil may lie hundreds of victims - ethnic Tamils believed to have been killed or disappeared during the civil war.
This June, the UN’s top human rights official, Volker Türk, visited the Chemmani grave site, where excavations recently unearthed 19 skeletons, including children. For people like 68-year-old Manuel Jeyachandra, whose son was taken by military personnel in 2008 and never seen again, this moment brought a flicker of fragile hope.
Jeyachandra is one of thousands of Tamil parents still waiting to know what happened to their missing loved ones. Since the war’s end in 2009, over 21,000 formal cases of missing persons have been submitted to Sri Lanka’s Office on Missing Persons. Yet justice has been painfully slow. At least 384 parents have died without answers.
Many fear the government lacks the will or the courage to face its past. UN officials and human rights groups are calling for independent, international investigations and transparent excavations carried out to global forensic standards. Without truth, they warn, there can be no closure. And without closure, there can be no true peace.
The Tamil community, once silenced, is raising its voice again. Protests, vigils, and testimonies are emerging, led not only by elders, but by a new generation. Youth groups are stepping up, organizing exhibitions and public storytelling to preserve the memory of the disappeared and demand accountability.
For believers, this moment invites intercession. Scripture teaches that every hidden thing will one day be brought into the light (Luke 8:17). Justice delayed may not be justice denied, if the Church will weep with the grieving and pray for truth to break through the stone walls of impunity.
We pray for the God who sees, even in the soil, to raise up voices of righteousness, heal the deep wounds of war, and bring restoration to the land and people of Sri Lanka.
Prayer Pointers
- Pray: for grieving families to find answers, and for the truth about the disappeared to be revealed with clarity and compassion.
- Pray: to stir the Sri Lankan government to act justly and transparently, resisting cover-up and committing to full accountability.
- Pray: for the Church in Sri Lanka to be a voice of healing, advocacy, and hope amid grief, silence, and suspicion.
Prayer – Praying for the people of Sri Lanka
Lord, shine Your light on every buried truth. Comfort grieving families who still wait. Let justice rise from the dust and move leaders to act with courage. Heal Sri Lanka’s wounds with truth, mercy, and the power of resurrection hope. Amen.
“For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.” Luke 8:17 (ESV)

Australia is entering formal talks to join a new defence and security agreement with the European Union, signalling a significant shift in its international posture amid a worsening global security environment. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is set to meet with EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa during the G7 summit in Canada to explore the proposed partnership.
The potential agreement would align Australia with other EU security partners like Japan, South Korea, and the UK, covering cooperation in military exercises, counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, defence industries, and critical technologies. The talks follow recent dialogue in Singapore and Rome, where the proposal was first floated at the inauguration of Pope Leo XIV.
Though initially cautious, the Australian government appears increasingly open to deepening military ties with Europe, especially under pressure from President Trump for allies to boost defence spending. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte recently warned that nations failing to invest adequately should “learn to speak Russian,” underscoring the West’s growing alarm over Russia’s military posture.
Australia’s defence and foreign ministers, Richard Marles and Penny Wong, are tasked with advancing the agreement. EU Ambassador to Australia, Gabriele Visentin, confirmed progress, noting shared democratic values and strategic interests between the EU and Australia.
Albanese also met Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to discuss joint military technologies such as over-the-horizon radar and Canada’s potential entry into AUKUS Pillar II, which focuses on emerging defence tech including AI, hypersonics, and quantum computing.
While the Israel–Iran conflict casts a shadow over the G7 meetings, Albanese continues bilateral discussions with leaders from Japan, South Korea, France, and Germany, as well as a crucial meeting with President Trump. The Australian leader is also expected to request tariff exemptions and reaffirm commitments under the US–UK–Australia nuclear submarine pact.
Prayer Pointers:
- Pray: Australia’s leaders to act with discernment as they forge new security alliances in a volatile global climate.
- Pray: for God to restrain escalation and use these diplomatic efforts to protect lives and promote peace among the nations.
- Pray: for the Church to stay awake, courageous and a clear voice of hope and holiness in an age of militarised uncertainty.
Prayer for Australia
Lord, in a world arming for conflict, we ask for wisdom over war, peace over pride. Guide Australia’s leaders in truth. Restrain escalation. Raise up Your Church as peacemakers in the storm, anchored in Your unshakable kingdom. In Jesus’ name, amen.
“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” Psalm 20:7

This declaration, announced by Elias Sithole of the National Disaster Management Centre, enables the national government to mobilize resources and coordinate relief efforts across provincial lines. Under the Disaster Management Act, such a classification is used when a crisis exceeds the capacity of provincial response mechanisms and requires national intervention.
Since June 9, communities across the country have faced worsening weather patterns, highlighting the limitations of existing contingency plans. The national designation allows the activation of the SANDF, SAPS, and other national bodies, enabling a unified, more robust emergency response. Government departments and agencies will now be tasked with coordinating relief, rehabilitation, and long-term recovery efforts.
KwaZulu-Natal had already been operating under a provincial disaster classification earlier this year due to flooding, but this broader national declaration now incorporates multiple affected regions. According to the government, the focus will be on restoring services, rebuilding damaged infrastructure, and supporting displaced or affected citizens. Updates and progress will be monitored and reported regularly.
The disaster classification will remain in effect until the situation no longer meets the criteria or is officially revoked. Citizens, churches, and aid groups are being encouraged to participate in relief efforts and prayer.
Prayer Pointers:
- Pray: protection and strength for families displaced or grieving due to loss, and for quick recovery of essential infrastructure.
- Pray: for God to guide leaders coordinating disaster relief to act with clarity, compassion, and urgency, leaving no community overlooked.
- Pray: for long-term resilience against climate-related disasters and for wisdom to build systems that protect the vulnerable.
Prayer: Praying for the grieving, displaced and leaders
Lord, we lift South Africa to You. Bring comfort to the grieving, strength to the responders, and shelter to the displaced. Guide leaders with clarity and compassion. May Your mercy flow through every floodplain and heart. Restore what the storms have broken.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
